For those of you who do not know me, my name is Japhus Johnson, I'm the photographer who is responsible for all of these pictures on this website. I first began taking pictures back in 1995 as a hobby. My first subject was my ex-girlfriend.(I still hate her.) I don't hate her that much but...

Being a photographer you get labeled many names, a freak, a pervert, or gay. I'm none of those, I am an artist who loves to paint & capture beautiful images with a camera. Whether it's models, weddings, or babies it's my job to capture those special moments. As you surf through the pages of this website you will find some crazy stuff. There is a thin line between sexy artistic images and pornographic images. I try and capture the sexy artist images. Some women (and guys) are just outright sexy when they're in front of the camera. This sexiness(if that's a word) is not because of me. If freak is in you - guess what's coming out? This website is not intended to exploit women (especially black women) but a media to further the careers of inspiring models.

Okay enough about that, back to me. Hot Shots Studio is owned and operated by me(I hope that didn't sound arrogant). With over 10 years of photography experience, I'm sure you will be happy with our services. If there is a specific style of portraiture that you would like to have done, but do not see it on our website, please do not hesitate to contact me. Since my work is constantly evolving, I will periodically update the website to reflect the growing nature of my photography. I have shot for clients & events around the country and is a well-known boudoir and fashion photographer in the Midwest.
